For a young director, Jack Weatherley has received many plaudits for his commercial,long-form and narrative work.
His film portrait of the athlete Paula Radcliffe entitled ‘Run’ which premiered on Nowness in August 2016 received the accolade of a Vimeo Staff Pick. Whilst his stunning short project ‘The Hope you Promised Love’, garnered 5 Stars in David Reviews. The Huffington Post described Jack as “A Clear Voice in British Cinema” whilst covering his second short film ‘Pieces’ an unsettling and dark 15 minute film with a star cast which followed on from his debut short which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2011, and was screened at festivals internationally, subsequently being picked up for distribution by Shorts International. Jack continues to write, and now finds himself part of the new vanguard of British film directors that includes Eran Creevy, Ben Wheatley and Paul Andrew Williams to name just a few; all of whom possess the talent and determination that’s necessary to get a script to the big screen.
Jack has a keen eye for beautifully observed photography; his films are stylish, contemporary and effortlessly elegant.
In his commercials, Jack adeptly draws out equally powerful images and performances from sporting personalities including Mo Farah for the BBC, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Park Ji-Sung and Patrice Evra for Nike and boxing legend Vladimir Klitschko for LinkedIn.
Most recently Jack was called upon to direct and creatively collaborate with the Selfridges in-house team for the creation of content to support the brands continued sustainability drive.
