Yasmina Solanes

After gaining her degree in Arts in Barcelona Yasmina worked for a couple of different agencies in London to get closer to the advertising world. However, she soon realised that her place was behind the camera so she enrolled at The London Film School to obtain an MA in filmmaking. Whilst at The London Film School her passion for directing flourished whils learning from directors such as Mike Leigh, Patrice Leconte and Mike Figgis among others.

Yasmina’s graduation short film “3 washes” won several prizes at various International Film festivals. Upon her return to Spain Yasmina went on to direct TV commercials for clients such as Movistar, La Caixa, SEAT, Puig, MANGO, El Corte Ingles, Mahou, Garnier, Dove and L’Oréal.

In addition to her commercial work she also directed the documentary “Medicines, a kidnapped right” which aired nationally on TVE (Spain).
