Fredgy Noël moves from commercials and documentaries into dark comedy with her latest short film The Dogfriend. Telling the story of a young woman struck by supreme loneliness during the 2020 global pandemic, she wishes for her dog to become her boyfriend… and then endures the myriads of consequences when her wish comes true.

Fredgy created the Dogfriend with a female heavy crew and other female creatives of colour at the helm, creating a careful-what-you-wish for dark comedy about the monster that is straight, cis, white male privilege (when gone unchecked) and equally a story about the various cycles and iterations of loss.
