Cathrine Wessel X Essie

When GOTHAM NY challenged us to shoot a summer campaign in January we knew it was a challenge we couldn’t resist!  Directed by Cathrine Wessel and produced by Simon Petter, the bright film belies the reality of shooting in a cold East London in January.   Looking at the films you would never guess what went on behind the scenes. 

The exuberant films feature four dazzling leading style and design influencers, bringing their energy to the films, as they show glimpses of how they live their lives in full Essie colour.  The explosion of summer colour extends beyond the influencers into their environment, encapsulated in an Essie graffitied wall.

Cathrine said of the experience,

​​’Filming Essie was a brilliant fun experience despite the London winter temperatures!  I loved the client, crew and talent who all worked so hard to capture everything we needed in the shorter daylight.  Special thanks has to go to the security guard who braved the cold to protect our graffiti wall overnight!’
